Description
On 11th December it was announced that Heijmans, a construction company in the Netherlands, is to cut 700 jobs from a total of 11,000. The number of dismissals will be minimized. A social plan has been agreed with the unions. The bulk of the job losses will hit operational personnel. Heijmans has cut jobs as a response to the recession which has hit hard the entire construction sector.
