Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Road transport firm Vos Logistics, has announced that it will lay off 345 employees in the Netherlands, France, Poland and Hungary. Vos Logistics is one of the largest transport companies in Europe. 145 jobs to be scrapped are in the Netherlands, and the remaining 200 are spread across France, Poland and Hungary. According to a spokesman, the negative effects of the recession on the transport sector are much larger than expected.
