Description

Perkins Engines, a company manufacturing diesel engines, has announced that it is to cut 150 jobs at its site in Peterborough. The cuts reflect the company's response to falling demand and they will mostly affect temporary staff. However, the company has committed to implementing a voluntary redundancy scheme for permanent staff. As of 12 December 2008 there is no information on when the job losses will occur.
