Description
Peterborough City Council has announced that it is to cut 400 jobs blaming the economic downturn. 180 jobs will be lost by the end of 2008 and the remaining 220 will be lost in 2009. Most of the cuts will affect administration and back office staff, while Council representatives claimed that many of the jobs to be lost are posts not currently filled.
