Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
PricewaterhouseCoopers , one of the world's biggest accounting firm, has announced that it is to offer voluntary redundancy to between 100 and 200 of its staff at its office in London.
The company employs 16,000 people worldwide, although it is not known how many of these work at the London office. The company attributed the cut to current economic conditions. As of 7 December 2008, PricewaterhouseCoopers has not announced when these redundancies will be made.
