Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Roller bearing manufacturer INA Kysuce is to cut 150 jobs due to the restructuring of its production plant at Kysuce Nové Mesto, according to company president, Rudolf Pasteka. Dismissals will be finalised by the end of March 2009. The company, which employs 3,094 in Slovakia, belongs to the German Schaeffler Gruppe, which is one of the biggest European producers of bearings and other components for automotive, mechanical engineering, aircraft and space industries.
