Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The representatives of Grupul Industrial Componente Pitesti, a group of companies dedicated to the automotive business announced a 800 jobs cut by February 2008 from a total of 3,000 employees in present.
The units affected, located around Pitesti town (Arges county, South region) are: GIC Nosag (220 jobs), ACS Campulung (200 jobs), Subansamble Auto (150 jobs), Automotive Complete (200 jobs) and Flexiplast (23 jobs). A third part of these dismissals are related to the activity of Dacia Renault and two thirds to the demand of external market.
