Description
Skanska, one of the world´s leading construction groups, has announced that it is to cut 3,400 jobs in Nordic countries out of a total of 20,500 jobs. The restructuring measures are expected to affect 2,000 employees in Sweden, 800 in Norway and 600 in Finland and are to be implemented throughout 2009.
Negotiations with trade union have been initiated and Skanska will put in place measures to alleviate the negative effect of the restructuring for redundant workers. Skanska employs globally around 60,000 people.
