45 white-collar workers and 45 blue-collar workers have been given notice at Alimak in northern Sweden. Alimak manufactures elevators and the production plant is located in Skellefteå with 338 employees. This is the second notice from Alimak in a short period of time. The market for industrial and construction elevators is declining as a consequence of the recession in the two sectors. Alimak is part of the Hek group that manufactures working and transport platforms. The Hek group is owned by the investment company Triton.
