Description
Telefonika Kable – the maker of cables for an assortment of applications in the energy, telecoms, transport, mining, and automotive industries – is planning redundancy of 900 workers out of an aggregate workforce of 3,565 by the end od April 2009. The redundancies will affect all of Telefonika’s production units, located in Myślenice, Krakow, Szczecin and Bydgoszcz. The reason of the redudancy in employment level is falling in orders for the company's products. The company had to reduce production and cut employment.
