Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Merrill Lynch, one of the world´s leading financial management and advisory companies, has announced that it is to cut about 5,700 jobs across the world due to the financial crisis. The firm has offices in 40 countries and employs roughly 60,000 people. As of November 2008, there is no information about the employment effect timeline.
