Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Whirlpool, a global manufacturer of household appliances, plans to cut 470 jobs at its plant in Wrocław by late 2009. This decision is attributed to falling orders. The factory currently employs 2600 people.
