Description
Corus, a steel company and member of the Tata Steel Group, is to cut 400 jobs from its distribution business. The job losses reflect falling demand due to the economic turmoil. The cuts include 100 in the West Midlands, about 100 in Shotton (North Wales), 50 in South Wales and 50 in Leeds. As of November 2008 there is no information on when the job losses will be implemented by or where the remaining 100 jobs will be cut from.
