Description
US-owned pharmaceuticals company Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD) has announced the creation of 170 new jobs at a new vaccine facility plant to be based in Carlow. The new high skilled posts are to include experts in science, engineering, pharmacy, microbiology, technology, IT, and management and recruitment will commence in 2009 and will be completed in 2011. 300 jobs will also be generated, possibly divided among several companies, in the construction phase. MSD currently employs 530 people in Ireland.
