Description
South African integrated paper and packaging company Mondi has commenced personnel negotiations concerning 200 reductions at its Lohja plant where it intends to close its paper processing unit. The packaging unit, employing some 150 employees, will probably continue at full speed, says head steward Sami Laakso. The plant employs a total of 350 workers. Mondi bought the Lohjan paperitehdas from Loparex in the spring 2007.
