The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Astaldi, one of the oldest construction companies in Italy, is to create 200 new jobs in Italy. The 2008-2012 reorganisation plan envisages an increase of the Group’s activities in the Italian market and in other geographic areas, such as Eastern Europe, China, North Africa and Latin America. In Italy, the company plans to recruit 200 new white-collar workers and managers.
Astaldi is the leading general contractor and the second largest construction company in Italy. It is involved in designing and building major public works in the transportation, infrastructure, and energy industries. It is engaged in several important works all over the world. Astaldi employs around 9,700 workers worldwide (of which around 4,500 workers in Italy).
