Lear corporation has six units in Sweden. Two of them have given notices several times this year, and those are the sites in Trollhättan and in Torslanda (Gothenburg). As for the site in Trollhättan, the Swedish Radio has reported four notices from Lear this year, concerning a total of 187 employees, both blue-collar and white-collar workers. It is now concluded that 88 blue-collar workers have to leave the site from December to March 2009. Before the last notice, the site in Trollhättan had 413 employees. The negotiations are not yet running and if Lear's largest client Volvo decide to downsize their production even more, there will be more notices from Lear. Lear Corporation is organized into the following segments: Global Electrical and Electronics Division, and Global Seating Systems Division. Lear is one of the world's largest suppliers of automotive seating systems, electrical distribution systems and electronic products and they have operations in 35 countries.
