Description
Ebay, and online auction and shopping website, has announced plans to reduce its global workforce by about 10 percent, affecting 1,000 employees in addition to several hundred temporary workers and the reduction of open positions. In Germany the company announced on 7 October 2008 that about 100 out of 1,250 jobs will be cut. This would in particular affect marketing activities. No further details on either dismissals or timeline were given.
