Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
DSM Anti-Infectives is the world’s leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients such as Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Cephalexin and Cefadroxil; the worlds most widely used broad spectrum antibiotics for combating bacterial infections. In June 2007, DSM Anti-Infectives announced the outcome of its strategic review. Through a partnering strategy combined with innovation initiatives and restructuring measures, DSM believes the greatest value will be generated. As part of the review, clavulanic acid was not considered a long term strategic product for the group. Since June 2007 several options were evaluated, resulting in the decision to close the site in Strängnäs. The production will be terminated and the factory will close down at the end of 2009.
