European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Energy company Essent announced on 11 August 2008 that it is to cut around 500 jobs by early 2010. No or only a few forced dismissals are expected. The job losses are attributed to the unbundling of network activities as required by the government.
