With an investment of EUR 35 million, this business expansion will result in the creation of 500 new jobs. The new facility, which will produce rotor blades (mainly for export) is expected to be operational in early 2009. The existing wind turbine production plant, also located in Viana do Castelo, was inaugurated in November 2007 and currently employs some 100 people.
