Description
Fortum, one of the leading energy companies in the Nordic region (foremost in Sweden and Finland), has announced that it is to cut 155 jobs by the end of 2010 (40 out of 300 jobs in Arbrå and 80 of the 230 jobs in Kungsbacka ). The job losses are due to an effort to decrease costs and enhance efficiency. Fortum has about 3,300 employees in Sweden today. Fortum’s activities include production and distribution of electricity and heating, management and maintenance of power plants and other energy-related services.
