Husqvarna is the global leader in outdoor power products for forestry, park maintenance and lawn and garden care, as well as cutting equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. Husqvarna has units at more than 100 different places worlwide. As a result of efficiency gains, synergy effects of acquisitions, and expectations of continued weak market conditions, personnel cutbacks of 850 employees will take place during the last quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009.
