Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Due to a decreased demand for aluminium profiles especially from Denmark and the Baltic countries, Sapa Profiler AB is reducing its workforce. In Finspång, Sapa Profiler will decrease employment by 30 jobs of a total 220 employees. In Vetlanda, Sapa will decrease its workforce by 76 persons of a total of 1 200. Sapa Profilers currently employ some 1 400 employees in Sweden. Sapa Profiler AB is a part of one of the three core business areas within the Sapa Group. The other two are Sapa Building System and Sapa Heat Transfer. The Group is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Norwegian concern Orkla.
