On 8 September 2008 German postal services group Deutsche Post announced that it will cut 150 out of 1100 jobs at its subsidiary IT Services. It intends to concentrate the activities of its subsidiary in two large sites (Bonn and Darmstadt) instead of 13 smaller ones. The restructuring shall start in the first half of 2009. The company refused to give details as to when it will be completed. The company did not exclude that the job cuts might involve direct dismissals.
