European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Uttern Båtar AB is a manufacturer of boats in Skelleftehamn, Sweden. From the beginning, the focus of the production was on non-pleasure boats measuring up to nine meters; however, in the past few years the production has turned to pleasure and sporting boats. Due to a decline in sales this year as a consequence of lower demands on leisure boats, many boat manufacturers in Sweden are suffering great losses. Uttern Båtar AB is no exception. The production will be stopped during the month of September and only half of the employees will get to return by the October start-up.
