European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
German GeWis Gruppe will establish its next facility in Slovakia creating about 450 jobs at a plant which will produce metal components for passenger cars and tractors. A new production unit will be built in Prievidza industrial zone, in a region with a declining mining industry. The greenfield investment, will amount to about SKK 315 million (Eur 10.5 million) and construction works will start in the second half of 2009. Employment effect start and timeline were not yet announced. GeWis Gruppe has been operating in Slovakia since 1996 when it established its production plant in nearby Handlová city."GeWis chce ďalší závod v Prievidzi".
