European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Forbo Flooring AB produces, sells and markets different kinds of floor and wall products. Due to harsh competition on the European market, prices have been forced down for many years, especially in Sweden which is the company's main market. It has led up to a situation where Forbo Parquet, the company's floor factory in Tibro, has suffered heavy losses. Consequently, Forbo Flooring is closing the factory down by the end of the year 2008 with the loss of 140 jobs.
