Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

On 23 July 2008, Schlott Group, a media service provider for printing and direct marketing, announced to cut 100 jobs at its site in Nuremberg. The job cuts are part of the company's cost-reduction programme in response to a decline in demand for its products. The implementation of the restructuring programme will save approximately EUR 5 milion. Other cost cutting measures include the introduction of flexible working-time arrangements and avoiding wages above the general pay scale.
