Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Due to increasing demand, Austria's casino operator and gambling machine maker Novomatic AG is to build a new production hall in Veszkény, in north-western Hungary, at its subsidiary AGI Hungária. The 5,000 square metre plant will be worth HUF 2.5 billion (€10.8 million) and is expected to be completed at the end of 2008. The number of employees in Hungary will thus increase by 200 to 550. AGI Hungária’s production plant in Veszkény produces the cables and wires used in the AGI gaming equipment and delivers its products to all Novomatic manufacturing facilities, national and international. AGI Hungária covers not only the group’s own demand, but produces also for external customers such as the automotive industry.
