Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Enomeni Klostoyfantourgia (Naousa United Textiles S.A), a company that mainly engages in the production and commercial distribution of cotton and mixed yarns, announced on Tuesday 15 July 2008 of the possible closure of all 13 textile production units of Lanara's group at Evros and Rodopi. More than 1,100 workers are about to lose their jobs, according to the source, unless there will be an increase of share capital.
