On 7 July 2008, Henkel, a manufacturer of soap and detergents, announced that it is to cut 3000 jobs worldwide by the end of 2011. Out of these 1000 jobs will be lost in Germany. Concerning Henkel’s worldwide activities, a spokesperson of the company highlighted that all regions and business divisions could be affected.
