Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Up to 1,100 new jobs will be created by the American company Honeywell with the expansion of a technology and development centre in Brno. The centre, which was opened in 2003 and currently employs 1,300 staff, has become an important commercial and development base in Central Europe. Production in the new part of the centre will commence in the second half of 2009. The company, which develops products for the aerospace industry, control technologies and the automotive industry, currently employs about 2,700 people in the Czech Republic in the Brno, Ostrava and Olomouc sites.
