European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Daimler, the manufacturer of motor vehicles, announced the construction of a new plant in Ujazd nearby the Polish-German border. The plant will employ over 3,000 people, specialised in the manufacturing of the smallest Mercedes models (A and B series), which are expected to be produced in 2010. As of May 2008, there is no information on when the new jobs will be created by.
