Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Pharmaceutical company Lek has opened a new Quality Control Centre in Ljubljana which will employ more than 100 people. The new Centre provides sufficient capacities for a planned expansion of the production of solid dosage forms and sterile pharmaceutical products at Lek and is intended to support the growth of Swiss-based Sandoz’ sales and manufacture. The new centre which cost about EUR 5.6 million will house one of the three Sandoz’ EU Competence Centres.
