Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As a part of the SAS Group, SAS Sweden is the leading airline company in Northern Europe. In the past few years, SAS Sweden has encountered many problems, mostly concerning strikes among the cabin personnel and economical difficulties stemming from the company's incapacity to fill its planes as much as it had hoped to. As a result, decision has been made - following discussions with the trade union concerned (The Union: www.unionen.se) and SAS Sweden management - to cut 200 cabin jobs in 2009.
