Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Kenersys, a Germany-based provider of wind turbine technology which is part of the Indian wind energy company Kalyani Group, plans to create 120 permanent jobs by investing in a new production facility in Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This business expansion will involve a capital investment amounting to EUR 4 million. The company has its headquarters in Münster where it currently employs 120. As of April 2008, there is no information on when the new jobs will be created by. In 2008, Munster-based Kenersys became part of the Kalyani Group, a leading supplier of forged parts to the automotive industry, which ranks as one of the leading industrial enterprises in India with approximately 10,000 employees and over €2 billion in turnover.
