Description

Preciosa, a traditional Czech manufacturer of cut crystal glass products since 1948, has announced the dismissal of 125 people, mainly manual workers, by the end of June 2008. This is its second collective dismissal since January of 2008, when the company cut 262 jobs. The company, with headquarters in Jablonec and Nisou, currently employs about 2,400 people. The restructuring is being carried out due to increasing labour productivity and diminishing demand in the market.
