Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Kapis, the cable and wire producer based in the Savinjska region, is to create about 100 jobs. The company, which makes insulated cables and wires, power cables for energy supply, halogen free and fire resistant cables and overhead conductors, announced its decision to build new facilities worth 25 million euro in Vransko to produce 20-kilovolt cables. By the beginning of 2010, the 20 employees already working in the headquarters in PetrovĨe will be moved to the new location, plus approximately 80 new production jobs will be created. Altogether there will be 100 employees in the new location.
Existing production facilities with are based in Bosnia and Herzegovina and employ 210 persons.
