The Fiat group, one of the main European car manufacturers, is to create 300 new jobs at its sites located at Torino and Pomigliano d’Arco (in the province of Naples). In particular, the company will hire 300 new engineers, physicians and mathematicians in order to strengthen its Engineering and Design division. The new 300 employees will be hired by the end of June 2009. The hiring is included in the 2007-2010 business expansion plan, aiming to strengthening the industrial and commercial structure of the group. The Fiat Group is the largest industrial enterprise in Italy and one of the main worldwide car-makers. It develops and produces engines, components and means of transport for all forms of mobility for people and goods: from cars to trucks, to agricultural tractors, marine engines, aeronautical engines and space launchers. Since 2003, Fiat redefined its core business area by focusing its manufacturing and service activities on the automotive sector. Fiat Group Automobiles has around 50,000 employees in the world, and around 30,000 are employed in Italy.
