Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
E.ON, a German owned energy company, formerly called Powergen, has announced that it will be creating 465 jobs at its three sites in Nottingham. Most of the new roles are in Customer Services. The move follows the creation of 150 extra jobs in Nottingham in January 2007 when the company closed its call centres in India. No details were given about when the jobs would be created.
