Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Groz-Beckert Czech, a Germany-based manufacturer of needles for knitting and sewing machines, has announced that it is to create 200 new jobs with the expansion of its production at the plant located in the Lužice city (Hodonín region). The construction of a new production extension is expected to be completed by the end of April 2010. The current plant has an annual production capacity of 90 million needles and employs 500 workers. Following the expansion, the production is expected to reach 230 million needles per year.
