European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
La seda de Barcelona, a Spanish producer and supplier of polyester fiber and plastics, has announced that it is to create 150 new jobs in its petrochemical plant in Sines. Another 200 jobs will be created by the company’s suppliers. This business expansion involves an investment of EUR 400 million to which the Portuguese government contributed with around EUR 100 million. The Seda Group is the leading integrated producer of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), PTA (purified terephthalic acid) and Peforms in Europe.
