Bayer CropScience France, the leader on the French market for agrochemical products, is to cut 101 jobs by 2010 at its research centre and commercial network in Lyon-Vaise (European headquarters of its agrochemicals division). 1,500 cuts are foreseen worldwide.
In France the job losses mostly concern the supply chain, which should be relocated to Germany. Management stated that most of the employees affected would avail of early retirement and internal redeployment.
