Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
About 150 new high-skill jobs will be created at Novomatic Austria headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen, Lower Austria. On 5 March 2008 Franz Wohlfahrt, the company Chief Executive Officer, announced the construction of a new R&D plant as well as new administration premises. The work is expected to be completed by October 2009.
The Gumpoldskirchen workforce will increase from the current 650 to 800. The company’s total workforce throughout the country currently stands at approximately 2,000. Novomatic Austria is a subsidiary of the international Novomatic Group, one of the world’s leading providers of high-tech gaming equipment.
