Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Axis Communications, an IT company offering network video solutions for professional installations with a focus on security surveillance, intends to create 120 jobs worldwide. More than half of these jobs will be at its main office in Lund, Sweden and the rest will be among its 18 offices worldwide. Due to the ongoing technological shift from the old analogue technique to the modern digital and an increased global interest in safety issues, the market is rapidly expanding and Axis plans to exploit the opportunity to increase its business. Last year the company had a 27 % growth in employment, and they plan to reach that number again this year.
