Description
BYD Electronic, a spin-off of Chinese handset battery maker BYD Group and supplier for Nokia, announced that it is to create 2,000 new jobs by the beginning of 2010 following the development of a new plant in Tetarom industrial park (Jucu, Cluj county, North-West region). The new facility is expected to be operational in November 2008 and will produce accumulators and handset casings for Nokia mobile phones. This business expansion will involve an investment of EUR 20 million.
