European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Shinchang, a Korean manufacturer of electronic components for car engines and equipment, has announced that it is to create 200 new jobs by opening a new car component factory in Gliwice. The new plant will initially produce plastic car parts for Kia and Hyundai vehicles; in a second phase, its production will also include plastic components for assorted electronic and household appliances. As of February 2008, there is no information on when employment at the new plant will commence and when the new jobs will be created by.
