Description
Carl Zeiss, Germany's leading optical and opto-technical firm, created about 160 new jobs in Germany between November 2007 and Febuary 2008. Carl Zeiss also manufactures lenses for the semiconductor industry. According to the company, the job creation is due to an increased demand from the semi-conductor industry. As of March 2008, there is no information on where the new jobs were created. Zeiss employs a workforce of 7,965 in Germany and 12,257 worldwide.
