Description
125 employees will be hired by Outokumpu for its Avesta plant over the next three years. The unit, which produces a special type of steel alloy called duplex stainless steel, will increase its finished products capacity from 250 000 to 650 000 tons. The 5 billion SEK (550 million Euro) investment in the unit represents the biggest steel investment in Sweden and the expansion is part of Outokumpu’s strategy to become the most prominent international producer of stainless steel.
